Jason's pov :

I drove home and Barbie was silent during the whole drive which was so unusual, she was chatty but Ian's cruelty had flabbergasted us.

It hurt me seeing my sister's gloomy face but I couldn't tell her the truth. She didn't say anything and went directly into her room. My parents stepped inside the house and gave me an apologetic glance.

Smiling, I assured them I was okay and I didn't need their sympathy because I was really alright. It just hurt me to see everyone getting hurt by our actions.

"I'm sorry for ruining your Christmas, it could be better even if we had just a meal together in our house but it was my mistake to accept Ian's invitation." The mention of his name made my blood boil. I hated that bastard for what he was doing.

My dad came closer to me and patted my shoulder. "It's not your mistake. You're just like your mom as a lover, too kind and too innocent to this brutal world."
