Twenty minutes earlier

I look at the files before and sign the last document, trying to keep my mind off that woman; this is proving quite difficult because when I close my eyes, there she is in that room with Lynn and not me. Touching and kissing Lynn and not me, I clench my fist as I try to push away the images in my head. This is what I wanted, right, for her to stay away from me. So why I so irritated that she's following my wishes. I frown and grab a piece of paper when my phone starts ringing. I see my baby girl's name and smiled; maybe hearing from her would pull me back to my senses and help me let go of that forbidden fruit.

"Hey baby girl, this is a nice surprise. You don’t normally call me when I’m working." I say with a smile, but it falls when I hear her voice.

"Dad." I hear the panic in her voice that and she never calls me dad.
