When I woke up the next morning he was once again gone. I could hear muffled voices from downstairs so I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to dress up so I could leave.
As brushed my teeth with my finger-once again- I glanced at the clock to see it was almost time to go to that dance club with Katherine.
I was excited to say the least, because I knew the only way I would get into college would be dancing.
I checked Nate’s room once again before I walked down the stairs. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Nate’s mum and a man just coming out of the kitchen.
"Renee!" Katherine said surprised.
Once again, it looked like Nate and I had a thing.
"You spent the night here?" she asked confused.
"I-"
"I didn’t know Nate had a girlfriend," the man said.
"This is Larry, my husband. Larry, this is Renee, Nate’s friend."
I smiled and shook his hand.
"Um, where’s Nate?" I asked.
"He just went out."
