Chapter 55

We spent the next five hours watching movies that we didn’t even understand and eating popcorn.

At one point Sean’s hand was on my bent knee and I didn’t bother to shove it off, because it was too late when I noticed it.

"Fireworks start in five minutes. So excited." Hannah said and tapped on her phone.

"Are you talking to us?"

"Nah, tweeting."

Sean rolled his eyes and turned to me, standing up like everyone else.

"So you want to be my girlfriend then?" he asked cheekily and wrapped his arms around my neck, so I was with my back at everyone else.

"Well-"

"I wouldn’t mind that, you know." he smirked, and before I knew it, he was kissing me.

It was a soft kiss, gentle, but I didn’t feel anything, unlike when Nate kissed me. His tongue entered my mouth and I found myself putting my hands on his waist, tugging him closer.
