Chapter 62

It was only six days later when grandma knocked on my door.

So now you heard of knocking?!

"Your grandfather and I are going to a funeral today, do you want to come?"

"Whose funeral?"

"Katherine’s mother in law."

"Oh."

So Nate is probably going to be there

"When is it?"

"It’s in two hours. Then we’re going to go back to the Harris’s house for dinner."

"And…I can come?"

"Yes. It’s polite to go because we have been invited."

"Okay then, I’ll go."

"I have a dress here that used to be Katherine’s, I hope it fits you. You look like you’ve put on some weight."

My stomach felt empty and I frowned, suddenly feeling the need to cry. I noticed the change on the scale, it was like, 4 pounds since I came here…but I didn’t think it was noticeable…until now.

"Oh…okay."

"And her shoes are downstairs. Oh, and put on some black tights, they make your legs look smaller."
