He held her hand as he drove home, his eyes had tears in them. He didn't want her to see them so he kept his eyes on the road. She looked so worn out and tired so when he pulled into the driveway and parked he carried her inside and up to their bedroom. She was so light in his arms and he loved the way she put her arms around his neck, her head resting on his shoulders. A feeling of warmth filled his heart as he laid her on the bed. She didn't protest when he undressed her and put her nightgown on. "I will go down and get you something to eat and then we'll go to bed."

She smiled warmly at him when he covered her with the blanket, she loved this warm and caring side of him.
