18. Get Use To
"Yes Sir. That was my brother on the line." She turned and answered him.
"Oh I see, how us your mom?" Bryan asked.
"She is fine sir, no problem at all." Alexa replied.
"Hmm OK, I am glad." He smirked and walked into his closet to change and leave for his meeting.
Alexa turned back at the mirror and took a deep breath of relief.
Bryan finished dressing up, he looked extremely handsome and matched out of his office feeling confident as usual ready to conquer whatever meeting he had at work.
He picked up some documents and put them inside his suitcase. Alexa was now sitting on a beautiful long pure white couch at the corner of the bedroom and stood up immediately she saw Bryan suited up and ready to head out.
"Are you waiting for me to leave so you can be more comfortable?"Bryan asked.
"Hmm...." Alexa answered not being able to say a word, feeling nervous and yes indeed very uncomfortable.
He walked close to her holding his suitcase in one hand and the other hand was inside his pocket.
"You know..... me and you are going to be together for a while, you better get used to always seeing me and be comfortable as well because me and you will be spending not just this night together but plenty more as time goes on, understood?" Bryan asked.
He was talking as if he was giving an order and not telling me. Well whichever way he said it Alexa still felt uncomfortable and thought inside of her that she will never vet used to sleeping in the same room as her dreadful boss.
"I understand sir." She nods.
He walked away from her and was approaching the door when he turned and looked at her once again and said.
"Please just for today do not leave the house nor come to work. And please stop calling me Sir, someone in this house might hear you. OK Honey?" Bryan smiled as he spoke that word, he could not help but see how nervous she was anytime he said that and waited eagerly for her response.
"Got it....have a wonderful meeting .....Honey." Alexa replied shaking and squeezing her thumbs together.
A man waited for him outside and ushered him to the car as he opened the car door and dropped his suitcase and the driver drove out of the compound.
"Gosh I thought he would never leave. I really need to get out of this dress and make-up and put on something more comfortable." Alexa spoked to herself as she heard a knock on the door.
Knock knock!!
"Come in." Alexa spoke with a rather calm voice thinking it was Bryan, maybe he came back to test her or forgot something.
A lady came instead.
"Good afternoon ma'am, my name is Miss Beatrice and I am the Head housekeeper here and I want to say welcome and congratulations to you and the young Mr. Kenwood." She smiled as she held her hands close to each other like the maids in captain von trapp's family.
"Thank you so much for your welcome. This house is so amazing and I am sure it is because it has you caring for it." Alexa complimented the Lady as she smiled.
"Thank you madam, you are too kind." the Lady replied humbly.
"Oh please do not call me madam, my name is Alexa... Alexa Williams. Nice to Meet you." She said stretching her hands and moving close to the Lady.
"The pleasure is all mine." she quickly shook Alexa hands.
"Well Mrs. Beatrice, I was about to freshen up and get out of this dress and wear something more comfortable." Alexa said to her.
"I will help you." she helped Alexa unzipped her dress and snowed her the closet where she will putting her clothes. She took the suitcase and was about to unlock it but Alexa stooped her and told her she will do that and smiled as the lady excused herself and told Alexa to feel at home.
She went into the bathroom and showered. "Wow." Alexa said.
Who would think she will miss having a nice bathe like this. She stood there while the water poured on her.
She wanted to stay there all day, she placed her hand on the wall as she thought of every single thing that happened.
From the call to come to the clinic and then meeting Richie Bryan coming in to save her from his bad temper and then the successful surgery to the surprise short wedding as she will put it. It was really a day that she would not forget in an hurry.
Alexa got out and put on more comfortable clothes. The she headed to her phone to call back her friend Patrica whose call she missed earlier on because of her busy day.
'Dailing Patricia. . .'
"Hello Alexa." the lovely voice of her friend sounded.
"Oh girlfriend.... how are you? it has been a long time. I swear I have missed you and you have no idea." Alexa hurriedly said.
"You missed me and yet you did not take my call and also took so long to call back. I am mad at you." Patricia replied yet pretending to be mad at Alexa.
"I am sorry. I was busy with work and some other matters. Please forgive me." Alexa said smiling.
"Alright I forgive you. Oh my friend I have missed you too so so much. Guess what?" Patricia asked.
"What is it?" Alexa replied.
"I am in town."
"Ahhhh....oh my." Alexa screamed at the phone.
"When did you arrive girl?"She continued to ask.
"This afternoon." her Friend replied.
"Oh that was why you were calling me right?"
"Yes. I took a cab and I am at my aunt's place. Her and her husband will be opening their new house this weekend so she asked me to come early so I prepare with her during the week." Patricia replied.
"Oh I am so happy for them. Please relay my greetings to them." Alexa replied.
"You will be doing that yourself because you are invited as well and you must say yes and you can bring your lovely brother along and also your Mr right as well...what was his name again?"
