37. Grandmother's call.

Fred's questions to Bryan made him think a while as Fred kept looking at him.

"One day at a time my friend. I can not really say they should not know or they should but I want to try not to really think about it because I have a lot on my plates.

But the most important thing is that we are married, Grandpa is OK, I have my inheritance, the company is doing very well and Alexa family are been taken care of. One day this all will be over and both of us can go our separate ways," Bryan said.

"Have you ever thought that you guys might end up falling truly in love and be together forever?" Fred asked.

"No Fred. That will certainly not happen, I can assure you of that. I am too busy to play that game of love and besides I do not think Alexa is my type of woman," Bryan said as he stood up and buttoned his suit.

"You have a type sir?" Fred said in curiosity.

"What do you mean by that?" Bryan asked.

"I have never seen you been into any woman rich or poor, classy or even sassy," Fred said.

"I went to college you know, I met lots of women," Bryan said.

"I think it is best to say that lots of girls were around you sir but you were actually not just interested in them sir," Fred continued to argue the issue.

"Well maybe I am not just interested and would not be for a long time because the entire Kenwood enterprise rests on my shoulders Fred and I can not let my grand dad down because I will not hear the end of it," Bryan said.

"Fine I just feel there could be a chance of love but I know it is too early too Early to talk about love now. Just saying there could be a possibility besides let us be honest Alexa is a pretty young Lady," Fred said.

"Yes she is but I feel you have started watching too much soap operas my friend," Bryan said as he slowly walked out on Fred.

"No sir I do not watch a lot of them just some when I go see my mom that all," Fred replied following Bryan out.

"Let is just go home I am extremely exhausted and you too need to rest," Bryan said as walked.

"Yes you are right but at least you have a lady to come home to I just wished I too had a lady Waiting for me at home to Cook me dinner and spoil me rotten with good food," Fred said smiling and jokingly.

"You have a girlfriend and if you want good food you can come to the house and eat with me and my 'wife', Bryan said Twinkling his fingers in quote as he said the word 'wife'.

"Oh that will be awesome sir, are you serious?" Fred asked.

"No I am not," Bryan said with a smirk on his face.

He got out where he driver was waiting for him, he entered the car and told Fred to go home and rest not watch soap operas and they left Fred at the entrance of the hotel.

As Bryan's driver drove off, he rested his head in the car, he enjoyed the peace and quiet for a little while but this moment was cut short as soon as his phone rang. It was his grandmother.

"Hello grandmother, and how is the most beautiful woman in the entire country doing this evening?" Bryan asked. He loved her so much, she knew how to get to him and make him happy and has being like his actual mom since he was little.

"I am fine thank you my Prince. But I must confess that I am unpleased with how you have slowly abandoned me recently and it is not fair my boy," his grand mom said with sadness in her voice.

"Grand mother I can never abandon you, you are my sunshine. I have just been very busy with work, you know I try to do my best so Grandpa would be happy. But it seems he is never pleased at what I do so I still have to work harder." Bryan replied.

"I know that, but you should take a break and let me handle your Grandpa. But first OE the issue here is that you have to make me happy because I really miss you my boy," grandma said.

"Tell me, I will do anything for you as far as it makes you happy ma," Bryan said.

"Come to the house now and have dinner with us my son," Grand ma said.

"Today ma?" Bryan asked.

"Yes son, it is weekend please come over. I have told Rosita to make your favourite dinner," grandma said.

"Ma did grandpa tell you to do this?" Bryan asked.

"No my son I just want to see you and your lovely wife. We should spend time as a family. Do you think so?" Granny asked.

"You are Right ma, it is just that my wife is busy and so am I right now. Can we not do this some other time please," Bryan pleaded.

She was sad because she really missed Bryan, talking to him and gossiping about her husband to him and all the laughter they shared.

"It is fine then. I tell Rosita to clear the table then and I will just go to bed with sadness, goodnight," granny said with sadness in her voice, making her feel so pitiful.

"Oh grand mother, you know I do not like hearing you sound that way." He took a deep breath and sighed hard. "Fine I and Alexa will be there shortly for dinner," Bryan said.

She was so happy that she shouted out loud "Rosita Bryan is coming home for dinner."

Bryan smiled and told his grandmother that he loved her and ended the call just smiling tiredly.
