Something Isn’t Right (I)

Adonis

Two security men scraped the battered goon off the concrete ground at my feet and dragged him towards the police van. He was wheezing unhealthily and the spot he had been sprawled on was smudged with blood mixed with a couple of other unidentifiable fluids.

I flexed my knuckles in satisfaction. Everything had been gotten back under control, well, except for the fact that one of the fucking goons managed to really escape. The rest had been shoved back into the police van, bound this time, including the unlucky one who I had a great time beating the shit out of and now he would go with the cops with fewer teeth and broken ribs.

Fortunately for him, everything was back in order in a short time, any longer and he would have looked more like the Jeep wrecked on the driveway by the time I was done with him.

"Does Neil know about this?" I heard Cora ask Dominick softly behind me.
