Dave's Secret

On the drive back, Mandy kept thinking about it. Her head hurt.

She had met Dave two years ago at a friend's party. In the beginning, Mandy hadn't noticed him. Although he was in good shape, he was really average-looking and wore a pair of glasses.

But Dave quickly pursued her passionately. He didn't stalk her. If that was the case, he might have scared Mandy away quickly. He always showed her concern and care at just the right time every day; he sent flowers at a suitable frequency, just like automated flower delivery. The next bouquet came when the previous one needed to be replaced.

This solicitousness was not repulsive. It was like water. It seemed ordinary, but it was indispensable.

Just like that, he slowly won Mandy's heart and became Mandy's family.

After knowing Dave, it was hard not to like him.
