Whose Fault?

After returning home from the hospital, Melanda looked fine.

But Mike knew that wasn't the case. During the day, she pretended to be fine, but at night, she cried silently.

She still couldn't accept Mandy's death.

Mike couldn't always be with her either. He still had to work. He texted her whenever he was free, but her replies weren't as interesting as before. They were always just a few simple words.

Everyone agreed not to tell her about Mandy's funeral and not to let her go because they were worried that her body wouldn't be able to take it. She didn't ask.

Melanda's mother was with her at all times. She saw her daughter always sitting there alone in a daze. Sometimes, she would cry when she heard something or saw something.

Everyone was worried. This was not good for her body or the child in her stomach.

Actually, Melanda wanted to be happy, but she couldn't.
