The Night Before the Wedding (2)

Night came.

The Jones family's yard had been decorated. The workers from the wedding company had already left work. Mrs. Jones was still checking around for final confirmation.

Mr. Jones made himself another cup of coffee. Usually he didn't drink coffee at night because it interfered with sleep. As he got older, he realized how important a good night's sleep was.

However, he made an exception today. He drank his coffee and looked at the beautiful garden through the kitchen window. Yes, this garden he was familiar with had never been so beautiful as it was tonight. He was in a good mood! His only son was getting married tomorrow morning. This was his son's big day, and it was their family's big day.

Even though his son had already left home after graduation and lived alone outside, only after he got married would he have a real home of his own.

And his obligation to raise him was officially over.

The rest of the time was his own.
