Caught Unprepared

The tension in the room was palpable. You could almost taste it in the room. The three of them were sitting at a round table, in a private room in one of the most expensive restaurants in town. The room has the Elizabethan theme, with its high ceiling with its intricate and bold design the room is softened by the fresh-cut flowers on the table.

The server put down the food that was ordered by the three customers who weren't speaking with each other. He quickly finished serving the rest of the food because even though the three people at the table were just staring at each other, he could feel that chaos was about to erupt at any given moment.

He darted his eyes on the door that he left ajar and thought to himself, should he stay inside the room, next to the door where he was supposed to be, waiting for any additional orders from the customer, or should he step out of the room, wait outside the door and wait for the bloodbath to be over.
