Chapter Fifty-Eight

Nicholas's POV:

I got up and as I pulled the blankets back I caught sight of the belt mark across her ass and lower back. It awoke something in me. Something like regret and anger. I shouldn't have done that to her. Not at all.

It was best to be away from her so that I could think for a moment. Getting dressed, I put my trousers and shirt on, grabbed my phone and keys, and walked past Louis, ignoring her dirty looks. I caught a flash of shock in her eyes. It got me curious. I used the left-wing and passed the mirror on the wall by the front door and saw that my eye was bruised and that there were claw marks on my face. Looked like I'd have a cut on my lip, too, but it was starting to heal.

I decided to head to the gym to punch the rest of what was bottled inside me, out and travel to Mexico for a business trip afterwards. It would give her time and space to get her head straight and somehow make me concentrate on deals that were getting out of hand.
