Chapter One hundred and Five

Talia's POV:

When I woke up at the wrong end of the bed with him all over me, I wanted to die. I'd climbed down there when I couldn't get to sleep in his arms. I needed space. I had contemplated sleeping on the sofa but suspected he'd be pissed and be more than happy to take out another punishment if I dared sleep somewhere else. He was just looking for justification for his unfair actions.

For some reason, I thought that pleasing him would set things right. It didn't. Surprisingly, he was so angry at me that I thought he was going to hit me. When he calmed down, he asked me to join him in the shower.

After he washed and shampooed me, trying to be all sweet and attentive again in the shower, he got washed, shampooed, and then he left me in there. I stayed in there until I was almost burning up. When I finally got out, he was gone. He wasn't in the sitting room or the bathrooms, either.

I checked the phone I was left with and there was a text from him.
