Juanita spent a great time with her parents, helping them with their work and selling her rice online. The business was not that good as in one week she managed to sell only three bags of rice including the one she sold to the first customer.
She wasn’t worried much as she was full of confidence that one day, she will be selling her products like crazy. During this time, she had been thinking hard about telling her parents about her farm.
She didn’t want them to worry about her much so she decided to tell them before she leaves and also give them some of the products as she couldn’t keep on making excuses daily.
Two days before her departure, Juan was in her room looking at the juicy tomato in her hands. She had been planting tomatoes and rice interchangeably ever since she leveled up.
And now she had enough of the two, she even sold some of them and bought some other seeds to plant. The tomatoes took a long time to mature than the rice but she still harvested the tomatoes twice daily. So it wasn’t that bad compared to the rice anyway.
Her parents were talking in the living room so she decided to go and have that talk with them. While holding the tomato in her hand, she left her bedroom and made her way to where her parents were seated.
Seeing their daughter coming to them, the parents were in a very good mood but where did she get that tomato in her hand?
Juan smiled at them and sat opposite them and looked at them seriously, “we need to talk.”
Pearle looked at Juan and smiled at her, “if it’s about you leaving, we have an inkling about that. When are you leaving?”
Juan knew that her parents would know about that already so she decided to talk about this one first, “in two days but this is not what I want to talk about now.”
This statement shocked the two and wondered what she was up to now, “then go ahead and say it.”
Juan smiled at her parents and stretched her hand with the tomato, “take it and taste it.”
Pearle raised her eyebrows and took the tomato from Juan’s hand.
“This tomato looks strange but good,” Pearle commented as she turned the tomato around, “where did you find such a good tomato.”
Juan flashed a bright smile at her mother and replied, “I planted it and the rice that we have been eating lately.”
Randall and Pearle looked at each other with great shock and confusion in their eyes, “when and how?”
Juan giggled finding their expressions so funny but she understood where they were coming from, so she decided to satisfy their curiosity, “I need to show you something. Can you close your eyes for a moment?”
The two trusted their child a lot so they did as ask of them and as curious as they were, they could only wait for Juan to tell them to open their eyes. This command was given once more after thirty seconds.
When they opened their eyes, they didn’t know what to think. They were in a foreign place and this scared the hell out of them. They looked at Juan who was smiling while leaning against the wall as she played with tomato in her hand.
They both looked around and realized that they were seated on a bed instead of the sofa they were on a few seconds ago.
“Juan, what is going on here?” Pearle asked as she stood up taking glances at the place.
She wasn’t afraid that something bad will happen as their daughter will never harm them and even if she did, they will just accept it as it is.
“This is my space; my farm and I own it. Let me show you around and tell you about it.”
Seeing that her daughter was full of secrets she was willing to tell them about, she decided to remain calm and follow her. And she didn’t regret following her, who knew that in her entire life she will get to witness something as miraculous as that?
The farm was simply beautiful, wonderful and the air was refreshing they didn’t mind living there for long. Through their daughter’s mouth, they learned about what happened to her over a week ago.
The two cried silently that their eyes turned red, hearing just how much suffering their baby went through but it was good that a miracle occurred and the heavens didn’t let their child suffer.
“As long as you are okay then we are fine. We are really happy for you!” Randall embraced Juan in a tight hug as he tried his best not to let the tears threatening to fall have their way.
“I am glad that I was the chosen one. This is the reason why I assured you that everything will be okay. As long as I am careful and strong, we won’t have to worry about money anymore. So, I wanted to share this good news with you both,” she smiled as she told her parents about her thoughts.
Pearle nodded her head with satisfaction listening to her daughter, “you mustn’t show this to anyone else. There are greedy people out there.”
“Don’t worry mom and dad, I will be careful and not expose myself.”
“That’s good then.”
After collecting a few bags of rice and some boxes of tomatoes from the barn, she sent everyone out and they appeared in the living room once more. Pearle was in a good mood and that was shown with the way she was humming a tune as she packed the rice and tomatoes nicely in the fridge and pantry.
Juan gave a helping hand and the family chatted for another hour before going to bed. The following days were spent relaxing and with Juan telling her parents about the farm.
She also didn’t forget to give her parents more for them to use for their food stall. One day she was going to let her parents cook with only her produce and conquer everyone.
