CHAPTER 16: BLOOMING BUSINESS

Juanita stayed at Irene’s house for a week and on the day, she signed the rental agreement, she told the news to Irene and this took the other by surprise.

Irene was a sensitive person and could easily tell when someone was being

judgmental or acting hostile towards her. And this is exactly what this couple had been showing her this past week and she was simply fed up.

She didn’t get why they were acting like this but this wasn’t any of her business. If someone didn’t accept her as who she was, then it was better for them to go separate ways.

Irene was so angry on this day that she went to bed without saying anything. Mark who didn’t like it when someone bullies or takes advantage of Irene glared at Juan and said something to Juan that motivated her to move out as quickly as possible.

On the day she moved out of the apartment, Irene was still acting weirdly even though a smile was pasted on her face. In order not to ruin this relationship she had she didn’t confront the other but acted as if it was nothing.

To her, Juan thought that since she was the one who made Irene angry then this may be the reason why she was acting like this. So, while she carried her suitcase she turned around and looked at Irene with complicated eyes, “I am sorry for everything and I know that I hurt you a lot. When you feel at ease and think that you want to talk to me, I will be waiting for you.”

Irene scoffed at her and went back inside with a grumpy face. Mark glared at her angrily before spitting the words, “I hope that in the future you will not come close to Irene. For someone ungrateful like you, you don’t deserve her!”

Juan felt emotional and wanted to cry, this was the second time that Mark told her cold and hurtful words. It was also the second time she felt as if Mark had this hatred towards her that she never perceived before.

Did he hate her that much? Anyway, she will soon forget about it and mind her own business and live her own life. Since Irene was acting like this, she will wait for the other until she was in her right mind.

Juanita took the elevator and didn’t turn back. She wasn’t here to play house with people who had everything. She was here to straighten out her own life, make some money and live her own life beautifully.

She also wanted to have men looking at her, pursuing her, and going on dates. She had dreamt countless times of having a grand wedding with a handsome groom who only have her in his eyes.

She wanted to carry her own children, play with them, and brag about them to everyone. So, being concerned with a best friend who didn’t want to see her prosper wasn’t something that was on the top of her list.

She took a taxi to her neighborhood which was roughly one hour from where Irene stays. It wasn’t that far but not close too. She doubted when she will see the other but she was going to leave it to fate.

The taxi took around thirty minutes to bring her to where her apartment was and she paid the money without changing her expression. The fare was way too high but she didn’t want to sit in a bus and be looked at like a clown in a circus.

This place was simply too big and there was no way she was going to stop people from talking. This is why buying a car will be for the best. After taping into her savings, paying for the family debt, buying some furniture for the new apartment, Juan was left with more than $80k.

She was going to look for a car and maybe use the money she received from her business to buy a small car that she can use to move around and save herself from being a circus clown.

When she took the elevator to the seventh floor she was in a good mood. The building has eighteen floors and when she was searching for a place to live, this building had five apartments she could pick from.

And she picked the apartment on the seventh floor as it was a bit bigger than others despite being a single bedroom apartment. The apartment had a study, a balcony, and an open kitchen.

Juan fell in love with it at first sight and in the future, she will definitely live in a bigger place. It was just a matter of time anyway. She smiled as she looked at her new apartment. She carried her suitcase and unpacked her clothes and hang them in the fitted closet.

Juan spent an hour cleaning the house and when she was done, she was famished. Luckily, they were several flyers lying around so she picked one and made an order for some fast food.

Thirty minutes later, she paid for her food and sent the delivery man away. Juan sat comfortably on the carpet as there were no chairs or sofas yet in her house. After eating her food, she threw the empty container into the bin and went to her bedroom.

She logged into her Mystic account and smiled brightly when she saw that all the rice she placed had been sold out. She posted some photos of tomatoes and priced it at $50 for ten big tomatoes.

As for what those people will think, she didn’t give a damn. Before she could go anywhere, someone bought a box of her tomatoes and it was a customer who had bought five bags of rice.

This made it easy for her to send the parcels as the customer was local. Juan spent another hour as she packed the parcels. When she was done, she called another taxi that came to pick her up.

Luckily the process wasn’t tedious and after filling up some forms and paying the fees needed, Juanita returned home but first, she stopped by a supermarket to buy some groceries.

When she returned home, she first arranged her groceries before sitting on her bed once more to take a look at the option that appeared on her Mystic online store.

To make more money on her business, Juan decided to open the auction system. With this, she didn’t need to sell her products cheaply but she can let anyone who has the highest bid get it.

So, on this day, she wrote a statement on her home page and notified her customers that the supply of the rice was dwindling which is why she will be auctioning the remaining rice after every three days.
