As the wind breezed by, the air was infused with the warm smell of the soil and fresh flowers far away in the woods. The lush green grass, the ever cloudy sky, and hydrangea-infused air were the clear signs of where she was standing.
It was their spot.
Few droplets fell on her black silk dress, but she didn’t care. For her ears had picked out the familiar throaty laugh from a few yards. A few yards and she will find her solace. The solace was ripped apart from her. The solace which took a part of her sanity with it. Her bare feet kissed the muddy field leaving behind her footprints, her rosy soles were soon covered with the sticky earth, making her slow down a bit. Yet, she went on. She went on and on as the giggles and laughs went on and on in the open beside the woods.
Her hands were pushing every leaf and vine that obstructed her way. Her throat slowly dried up as she heard the laughs clearly like a day. Her hands shook the leaves in a storm while her eyes were filling up.
