Busy Morning

*Jinx POV*

My head hurts, and I despise headaches. They were the bane of my existence; perhaps I should use mana to assist them. But I'm terrible at circulating mana within my body; I should probably ask Rachel. Unfortunately, I am unable to do so because she is currently sleeping on me. I looked down and was astounded by her hair; it was so soft and silky that I could run my hand through it with no resistance.

I knew she wasn't asleep, she was just pretending to be. Rachel would pretend to be asleep all the time because she knew I would. I leaned forward and placed her on my lap. My lips formed a teasing smile, and I had an idea. I leaned in and kissed her neck while holding her back.

She shifted her weight over me, trying to keep her mouth shut. I'm curious how long it will take her to cave; it'll probably be less than a minute. I smirked and traced circles on her stomach with my other hand. I didn't want to go too far with it, at least not yet. I put some restrictions on myself until she is truly mine.

It took her less than a minute to cave in, just as I predicted. I honestly thought she'd last a little longer. Rachel opened her eyes and looked down at me, but I didn't look away.

"I'm awake, S-Shi."

"Oh, and?" I said not seeing the probably. I let go of her back, allowing her to fall to the wooden floor with a small "thud" on impact. I continued after climbing on top of her. "You obviously wanted this; don't back out now."

"Who said I-I wanted this?"

"Don't be so shrill, Doll. I'm suffering from a headache at the moment." I mentioned standing up. I noticed her laying there with a bright red face when I looked down. I smiled and leaned against a wall, mounting her to come over. Rachel sat on my lap after rolling over to me. "Was that really required?"

"Yes, I'm lazy and sleepy. Do you want me to help her with her headache?" Rachel asked.

It was sort of, no, very cute. She hadn't even come to yet. I nodded, curious to see how proficient she had become with mana. She can practice using mana whenever she wants, unlike swords. I can't just pull out a sword and start swinging it.

I watched her place her hands on my head before feeling her mana flow into my head; it was strange. If someone else did this, I would simply stop the process with a small amount of my own mana. I know this because we had some time in the dungeon to test how some stuff worked, and our combined knowledge from Earth helped us figure it out much faster.

"What do you want to do today?" Rachel asked, still attempting to solve my headache and succeeding admirably.

I hummed and rested my head on her chest. Despite my teasing, I was still very tired. For some reason, I never seem to get a good sleep unless I'm with Doll and on a normal bed. I'm very picky when it comes to things like that.

"We need to get furniture, obviously. I need to get stuff to make a working forge. You need to get, mana stones, right?" I wanted to make sure I got that right. I definitely wanted to get some to see how they worked and if I can intergrade them into forging. Rachel, I wasn't too sure that she wanted them for.

Mana Stones, well, contain mana. One may think Rachel would obviously want some, but if you think about it, she doesn't really need them now. It's not like either of use has any type of magic. The most I can see her doing with them is seeing if she can use them to power some spells, but her brain works different from mine. Maybe she has some crazy theory or something.

"Yeah, I wanted to try some stuff with them." Rachel said removing her hands from my face. "All better."

"Much." I said kissing her cheek. My headache was gone, well, almost. The headache I now had was very little, much better than before. I would manage. "Wanna go out now?"

"Sure." She said trying to get up, however she failed and needed up back in my arms. "S-Sorry, I'm still a bit tired."

"It's alright, go back to sleep for a bit." I knew Rachel hadn't gone to sleep when I did. I tried to at least comfort her before I dozed off, it kinda worked. I patted her head and watched her slowly fall asleep.

I moved away from her and wrapped her in covers. I stood up and yawn, I don't know how long she will be asleep. I should probably start to build my forge, I wanted to go out with her to get everything else though. I have zero clue where to get stuff for that though.

Maybe there's a store or something, in this world forging is far from rare. Well, I'll see how it goes.

"A shit, that was a pain. I had to go so far for this bullshit." I said falling onto the floor of our place. I had spent the entire morning going around the place getting everything I needed. I thought it would be easy but I was VERY wrong.

God, I wish I had thought that through before hand. The stuff costed such that I had to steal from some people, I don't like stealing because its such a hassle.

"Shi." I looked up and saw Rachel looking down at me. She must of waken up, but from her tired face I can see she hasn't been up long. "Did you leave?"

Ah shit. Well, I can't lie to her, even if I wanted to she would know. "Yeah, only for a bit. I had to get some stuff, do you want to go out now?" I wanted to change the subject, and fast.

Her mood changed right away, and she looked her head. I sighed closing my eyes. Thank goodness I know how to charge her mind easily, she would of given me an earful. While I like hearing her ramble on about random things, I wasn't to fund of scolding in the least.

I got up and groaned a little. I have not had any time to rest or anything, I was out now I had to go back out again. All because I didn't want to bore her with all the smithing stuff. Maybe I'm too nice, nah! Only she deserves my kindness.

"Jinx! Look look look!" Rachel scream shaking me frantically. She had stars in her eyes as she pointed to a store.

I just stood there, letting her do as she pleased with a small smile on my lips. Rachel truly was adorable, but she had a problem with money. A BIG one at that. I don't even know why. It's not like she was spoiled when we were on Earth.

I spoiled her with love and affection but not money, our parents only gave us the bare minimum in terms of money. I worked a few small jobs to get some money but that was most to get Rachel some gifts for her birthday.

Nothing glamorous, since I was broke but still some good gifts. I looked to where she was pointed and my heart sank, it was like the fifth food store. She is going get herself sick, I swear.

"Doll, that's like the fifth shop. You are going to end up regretting it later... The fuck?" I looked to me side and saw her holding a LOT of stuff.

Now, Rachel does things and most of the time, I just don't question it. But this! I know I wasn't paying attention but still. Should I just changed the subject again, I'm doing that a lot today, huh. Yeah, I think changing the subject is the better thing to do.

"Doll, put it in the inventory, please."

"Oh yeah, I forget we even have that." She held the back of her neck and smiled. All of the stuff she was holding vanished, startling a few people passing by us.

Wait, want do people see when they try to look at our status. Shit. I forgot about that, well, we didn't interact with many people after leaving the dungeon yesterday. What do people see though.

[Rachel LVL ??? - ???]

Oh! Makes sense, probably.

"Where to now?" Rachel said walking next to me.

"Uhm." I honestly had no clue. We got all the stuff we needed, and more. I can't think of anything else we need to get, I was even able to get some metals for when I use my forge. I didn't buy any Mana Stones since they can be gained in dungeons.

"How about we go to a dungeon?" I said.

"Yeah! I doubt we'll be able to clear it though."

"Doesn't matter, as long as we are able to clear a floor or two we'll be good." I also really wanted to level up. I don't know how the whole race thing will go, but as long we have human forms it should be okay.
