THE WEDDING

*Audra's POV, past.

"I've never been one to dream about weddings, but they sure have their charm," I whispered to Chris as the bride walked down the aisle. "Especially when you forget how much they cost."

"I never stopped to think about it, but it must be really exciting to see the love of your life walk to you like this." He answered, pointing with his eyes at the scene in front of us.

Sometimes it surprised me how Chris was more of a romantic than he gave the impression of, also considering how he never witnessed much love from his parents that are your usual referent. Then again, a lot of people want what they don't have, especially when it comes to children with trauma.

"I'm sure it is. Look, he seems to be on the verge of crying." We smiled at each other at the tender sight.

His hand searched mine and he hold my hand for most of the ceremony.
