THE KISS’ AFTERMATH

*Audra's POV, past.

It was Monday morning and we had gone back to our routine, only we weren't the same. As we walked to school on our path through the woods none of us said a word, an awkwardness between us.

_

After losing track of time kissing, we reluctantly pulled away to find out it was getting dark. By the time we got back, we almost got straight to the hotel and on the next day, we travelled back. We occasionally made small talk with mom, to pretend everything was normal, but mostly we pretended to be too tired to talk.

For some reason, we started avoiding each other and tried not to be left alone, even avoiding each other's eyes as we talked. I was embarrassed and confused, and mostly I didn't know how to act around Chris anymore, but after seeing him act weird too, this only got worse.

Flash forward to today, we had barely crossed two words.
