Present Day
The enclosed gardens of the Fae High Court were not meant to be used by servants, but Tillie was desperate for escape, for the feel of the sun on her skin, for a peaceful quiet. Sterling had not stopped crying all night and all morning it seemed, the sound of his discontent grating on her nerves and impossible to ignore. She was short tempered as a result, snapping at the boys when their play became too energetic for the rooms.
She had left Sterling with Greshyn, who seemed happy to play nursemaid on occasion, and sent the boys out of the rooms to run off their energy around the castle, whilst she had sought the quiet of the gardens.
