“I may be of assistance,” Cerelius murmured as he tailed Sylvin back up into the palace.
“How is that?” Sylvin paused and glanced over his shoulder at the mage.
“Well,” Cerelius shrugged slightly. “Whilst you have been playing with the humans in Zendayis, considering that your wife was busy keeping the king very pleased… and he was oh so very pleased by her,” he said with enjoyment. “I’ve never seen Macedius glow with happiness in quite such a wa-”
“Get on with it,” Sylvin snapped.
“Well, I’ve been ingratiating myself with Auralyn, of course,” Cerelius preened a little. “Macedius had his worm, Rithelwen doing the same, so I thought that your household should also have a spy entrenched…”
“Auralyn,” Sylvin frowned heavily. “What about her?”
