"Your Highness, what will you do?"
As Prince Nicien maintained his silence for a while now, General Elias Gylaw grew really anxious. The matter they were talking about wasn't even a small one!
"If you don't do anything, the Lady -"
"I know my sister well," Nicien Vamieres argued firmly. He was hardly squeezing the letter as he continued, "She grows anxious about my standing and she did this to test me. Everything will be fine as long as I don't give her a reason to be angry."
Even General Elias wondered if the Prince really believed in his own words. Wasn't this too much of a risk?
"The life of Her Highness depends on this," he reminded Prince Nicien in a more composed tone. "It won't hurt to be cautious, Your Highness. As you claim, you know Lady Avilina well and that means you also know that she can become very unpredictable at times."
