Two Possibilities

King Hamon Caderin was with Duke Macheze in his working chamber, discussing the reports that came in from every corner of the kingdom like they often did.

"I have a feeling that war with the Hezians will be unpreventable this time, Your Majesty," the Duke said to the King who was listening to him keenly. "Besides, news spread not only all over our Esriven but also all around our neighboring kingdoms. This makes the intention of King Acadus clear."

"If war were to happen, what do you think our chances are?" King Hamon asked.

Thinking it over for a while, Duke Macheze responded by saying, "I will say that we have a good chance, Your Majesty; given that there are no other parties involved."

"It seems like you feel the same," King Hamon pointed out and said, "Everything about the Hezians is strange. It's not like King Acadus to make this kind of move."
