Dust, smoke, wind, and everything within the area were blown away. The explosion reduced the entire area to nothing, causing a gaping hole, as well as a massive charred surface 5oo miles large, and a few hundred feet deep, and standing in the air, hovering above all the wreckage and destruction was Michael, looking totally unharmed and smiling at the sight. He looked away from the blast area, a few meters from the area where Tenny and Kyron caught their breath.
"So they escaped eh? Interesting... Looks like Tenny's ability could prove to be quite troublesome." Michael said to himself as he decided to venture closer.
Tenny had no idea how they had survived. His mind had grown blank from the sight of the unavoidable danger as he closed his eyes. It was possible that he would teleport 20 meters away from his location, but even then he would still be caught within the blast area.
Other than that, he had managed to teleport Kyron with himself as well. They were at least 250 miles away from their previous location. How was that possible? He had never even traveled that far before.
Tenny shoved those thoughts aside. He needed to focus on the mission at hand, and as such he would have the speculations later on. As he attempted to stand from his sitting position, he felt a bit faint. He realized that transporting himself, as well as Kyron, for a distance of over 250 miles had to take its toll on him, however, this was no time to rest.
Michael would be coming soon, and so they had to be fully prepared to give their all, after all, they could not afford to lose.
"Kyron, we're going with Battleplan Y" Tenny groaned as he stood up with unease.
"What..? Now? B-But isn't it too soon?" Kyron protested.
"It seems you don't understand our current predicament. We can't afford to hold back at this point, or else we'll lose before we get the chance to play all our cards!" Tenny replied.
"You have a point." Kyron reasoned. "Hey Tenny, Just saying... How many abilities has Michael displayed in total, since we've started training?" Kyron asked, looking to Tenny.
"One hundred and fourteen" Tenny answered, remembering his previous estimation of Michael's maximum being a hundred. How foolish those thoughts seemed now.
"This new ability he just used... It must take a huge load of energy from him, so he must be very drained. That'll ensure the success of the plan even more." Tenny added.
"Oh really?" Michael said as he suddenly appeared behind Tenny.
Before Tenny could react, Michael snapped his fingers which immobilized him. Kyron resisted the effects as he aimed to hit the target, but immediately he hit Michael, he felt an electric shock surge through his entire body as every cell within him vibrated, causing him unimaginable pain. He screamed for several seconds before passing out, falling beside Tenny's paralyzed body.
"A few million Volts was all it took uh? I guess it's because you've not built up resistance to it." Michael said.
"I guess once again... It's my win!"
Tenny groaned in frustration as his mind drifted into unconsciousness.
"Uh... Ah," Tenny said, groaning as he regained consciousness. His sight blurred as his vision suddenly became clearer until finally, he could see clearly.
"Oh, you're finally awake!" Michael said, smiling.
"Wha-what's going on?" Tenny stuttered.
"Oh, I guess it'll take a while for you to regain your senses since your nerves were seriously corroded," Michael explained.
"But, in short... You lost!"
Suddenly, the events up to the current moment flashed before Tenny's eyes, and his memories returned. His face fell, and he looked downcast as he muttered to himself.
"W-We... Lost. I-I see..." He stated, with frustration in his voice.
"Yo, Kyron... You're also going to stay silent?" Michael beckoned on Kyron who was also sitting in isolation as he looked downcast as well.
Kyron did not give a response.
"Well, this is no good," Michael stated.
"You both look like you're about to give up, or maybe you already have... But I think you're forgetting one thing." He said, raising his index finger.
Tenny and Kyron looked up as Michael smiled, pleased to finally get the attention of the two other boys.
"You still have time!" Michael stated firmly, with a crazy smile on his face, gazing at the rekindled eyes of the challengers.
"So... What will it be?"
Immediately they heard this, both boys wearily stood up as they walked close to each other until they were directly opposite themselves. They turned to face Michael, who was standing in front of them.
"Bring it on." Their eyes were ready for the challenge once more.
"Good," Michael said, encouraging the futility of their attempts.
"Make it count!"
