CHAPTER 22

I know what leaving home means. All my life I have been groomed to lead the pack one day but I have decided to leave that behind. None of it matters if the person I have come to care about so wholly is not there with me.

I will go back to Laurentia. With her beside me.

I head to the airport and wait for my flight. When I alight I am a bundle of nerves. Closed spaces do not do well to me. it is in my nature to be wild and free on the ground but flying has never been a favorite of mine. My wolf is not very thrilled about it either.

When the flight attendant come to ask if I am okay, I think I growl at her because she scurries away so fast and does not even look at me the whole flight.

I recline my armchair and shut the screen door of my private semi cabin. I try to relax but I keep thinking of how I will be meeting this distant cousin and what they are going to tell me.
