Preparation – part 2

(Leon)

Leon, Rody and Ray ran down the exit ramp after judging it to be the safest and quickest way to get to the poolside. Leon carried the gas cylinder over his shoulders as he descended the ramp. Though he had volunteered to do so, he was really starting to feel the strain about halfway down. He looked over at Rody and saw that he had the fire axe on one hand and a large speaker on the other. Ray carried a similarly large speaker as well. Leon distinctively remembered fishing both out of the essentials bag before closing the trunk of the car.

When the three of them finally made it to the end of the ramp, Leon panted loudly and buckled under the weight of the metal cylinder.

"Woah, you okay?" Rody asked, "You want to swap?"

Leon looked straight ahead and saw the entrance of the pool not more than a couple feet in front of them. Resolving to carry it all the way to their destination, he shook his head and straightened himself.
