Pain and love

(Anurag)

After a hot shower, Anurag found himself standing in front of the mirror above the washbasin. He stared at his face with an angry scowl. Slowly, he reached up and touched his face and felt the pain sting him. He was instantly taken back to the previous night at the supermarket where Rody had pummelled his face in multiple times. The thought made his blood boil. He clenched his jaw tightly and gripped the sides of the basin so hard that his fingers went white from the pressure.

"It should have been me that killed him." Anurag said to his reflection. "It should have been me! I should have ripped out his throat and cut up his body into little bits before feeding it to the undead. It should have been me… It should have been me…"

Just then there was a knock on the bathroom door. "Anurag?" came his wife's voice. "Do you want tea or coffee?" she asked.
