Project Sephiroth

"Oh well, it might be because I'm too old that I started to forget things. Though, I could still remember their faces." Jack looked up, his smile slowly turned into a pitiful grin.

Sephiroth hunched that it had something to do with dissociative amnesia, a condition in which a person cannot remember important information about their life.

At first, Sephiroth wanted to explain how he acquired his curiosity. But looking at the reluctant reply of his friend, he decided to close this topic as it was related to the well-being of Jack's mentality.

The hint had been given, but Jack seemed to ignore it purposely as if he didn't want to face it yet.

"Don't worry about it, Sephiroth." Jack finally faced forward, together with his returned nonchalant smirk. "I know my own problem. Thank you for reminding me, I shall see if I can face the truth after I'm a little less tired. Heh."

[Well then, I shall preach about the good news then. But before that, do you want to level up the Petra Tentacle into a {Fighter} or not?]

"Oho?" Hearing the words 'good news' struck a chime in Jack's ears. "Well, it will take a while for the tentacle to level up, and I'm not sure if I will end up in a safe place after exiting this long pathway as it will turn me quite vulnerable for some time. So let's do it another time and go straight to the good news!"

[Alright_

[Within the subconscious field, I've been able to gather a few materials to create Reality Fragments of my own as there were many reality bending essence being emitted within that place. As of currently, I have converted them and accumulated around 3,000 Reality Fragments that we could utilize_

[I can offer you two choices. One, get a new set of Tentacles using one of your possessions as the catalyst, which costs roughly around 1,500 to 2,000 depending on its potential. Second, I offered you a service that I've been designing to match with the wavelength of your soul.]

It was indeed a superb great news for Jack after all of that mind-exhausting turmoil. The excitement was brought back to his confident grin. He caressed his chin as he let his mind go wild about what he could do with those two offers.

"The fact that you mentioned 'two choices', means that I must pass one of them in exchange for the other. What is this service you're referring to?"

[Do you remember that one weird phenomenon where your soul emits a strengthening wavelength that lets you escape from the desert into the forest?]

"I feel special about that, what's up?"

[I've assessed that your soul is strong enough to contain me as a whole. That burst of soul essence is actually a miniature big bang within your soul, resulting in an expanding private space within the containment of your existence. In which, I shall explain to you why I was named as Project Sephiroth to begin with.]

Jack was only a few kilometers away from the giant light. He decided to sit on the glowing platform as he placed his glaive. With his thigh supporting his hand, he then leaned his head to his palm. Meaning that he would be serious about this matter, despite the playful smirk.

"Go on."

[Why did you stop walking?]

"It will be a really long story, ey?"

[It will be four times shorter than the entirety of that Rue Mokaka. So clench your buttcheeks and hurriedly get us out of here instead of sitting there as if I'm going to puke every cookies of my lifetime.]

"Tch, I thought you will be explaining your million year story on how your digital daddy and mommy did the act. Knowing how detailed you are, it's still within the possibility, ya know?"

[I'm not as 'old fart' as you, Jack. We, quote on quote, computer, have the obvious computation to separate which and what kind of information that we should scrap to prevent unnecessary filler in storytelling_

[Unlike your tendency to prolong and deviate the topic that I tend to ask about.]

Jack pouted as he continued to walk, grabbing his glaive and leaning it to his shoulder as he exaggeratedly walked like a military soldier. "As I showed my dissatisfaction, I want you to elaborately explain why you're called Project Sephiroth, and not Project Sassy."

[Heh with pleasure, then_

[There is a reason why I'm hostless until your reincarnation. If you haven't known, I haven't actually been in service for any living being. Do be proud of yourself as I've blessed my existence to thee.]

"Hahaha, do bless your own existence similarly." Jack put an eerie shit-eating grin. "Because I'm confident enough that you won't meet with an even more capable host other than me."

[I did meet many people who have a greater affection to rock than you do.]

"Aww, that is a low blow."

[Aside from all of that, the Project Sephiroth is meant to have a strong soul that could contain the entirety of its Emmination. In this case, your soul in your current state is the perfect home for my Roots and its Bough to manifest. Your soul have been tempered for million of years that it immediately reacted the moment I implanted my Roots Feature to your being_

[But because of numerous schematics being corrupted and destroyed in our transmigration, I need to recompile any surviving file and recreate my own version of Project Sephiroth that is far different than its originally intended_

[It's a big and both long term and temporary Project that would surely help you with every phase that you invested the Reality Fragments on. So what do you say? Will you take a new tentacle, or an extra Roots Feature of Project Sephiroth?]

"Hmm, I really want more tentacles because of how flexible they are. How about you? As a supercomputer and the man behind the revelation, it should be easier for you to scale the benefits from one and another."

[I'm actually just saying this to make sure that you won't be mad when the Reality Fragments won't flow into your wriggly new toy.]

Jack chuckled wryly, "I'm not that childish, ya know?"

[Alright, I take that as a yes. This shall take a while_

[Allocating 3,000 Reality Fragments to the first floor of Asiyah_

[Estimated construction time, one hour_

As numerous log messages were dumped right into Jack's consciousness like an open trash bin, the glaive wielder was able to pass through the giant door of light.

Beyond the glowing pathway, he was greeted with a familiar environment.

It was the very same tunnel that he went in before.

Jack then used his burning tentacle again as a lantern.

"Haaah, another walk I guess? Welp, at least I know that I can finally see the new Roots Feature in just a couple of minutes."
