5. Gifts and Giggles

Nora and Blue were sitting inside Nora's room; Nora was busy trying her new jewellery and accessories for her birthday party. Blue was sitting over the bed, surrounded by the unfolded dresses, jwellery boxes and bags. She looked at the mess Nora created around the room, this girl is so untidy she thought in her mind, and getting up from her seat she started arranging everything properly. When Nora was done selecting her accessories; Blue cleared up everything, going to bed she fell on her back, the soft mattress plunged beneath her and feet dangles down the bed. Nora mirrored her actions, and both giggled at eachother. "You know you're a clutter queen." Blue told Nora, looking at her.

"And you're the Clean queen." She replied.

"Where did you learn that?" Blue asked turning her body to her side to be face to face with Nora.

"What? That queen thing." Nora asked confused about Blue's question.

"No. That mess." She answered.

"Ahh, well that's something you have to be born with." Nora said proudly, aggregating her hands over her head as if wearing a crown, making Blue smile at her action.

"Hey, well what are you preparing for my birthday. I mean you know 'the present'. Last time you told me it's a huge surprise." Nora asked her sitting up cross legged.

Bewildered by her question, Blue asked, "but then it wouldn't be a surprise."

"I'm just curious about it, please let's don't gift me any jwellery, dress, bag, shoes, perfumes, makeup, chocolates, voucher, sunglasses or watch." She spoke everything in one go.

"God, you have a whole list of what you don't want. Then what about the things you want." Blue asked her, crossing her legs and placing herself in front of Nora.

"Anything that you think I might like." Shrugging her shoulders Nora spoke casually; as if she told her about the list of things she wanted as her present.

"Well I can only say that lets wait until you open the present by yourself." Blue said stretching her hands forward with palms facing upwards.

"Arghh! Please tell me what you have prepared for me." Nora tried to persuade her.

"No." A straight cold no.

"Okay." Said Nora pouting her lips, her expression turned from gloomy day to bright sunny when something strike her mind. "Are your brothers coming at the celebration?" She asked Blue, leaning forward.

"Umm, Brother Jaden is busy with his research lately and he's out of town these days so i don't know if he would come or not." Making a bland face she continued, "and brother Ethan is helping father with the border security and he was saying that they have found some traces about the rouges so." Stopping her inbetween Nora said "okay, okay i got it your 'super handsome hot brother's' are so busy helping others, that me, your Bestfriend, can't get to see them on my birthday."

"Stop hitting over my brothers it's an unwritten rule that you can't hit, date or love your bestfriend's siblings." Blue said to Nora, cupping her face with her hands.

"Then do hell with that rule, I'm not going to follow this shitty rule." Puffing her cheeks she said.

"Wooah!, Now you learnt to curse." Blue told her, her eyebrows pulled above and line's formed on her forehead.

"I'm not cursing, I'm stating the obvious. Your brothers are too handsome to ignore." Nora told her.

The day goes on with the girls gossips and giggles. Later at night someone knocked on the door when they were talking about 'ideal boyfriend', basically Nora trying to push some knowledge about guys in Blue's head who never been into a relationship before and now a month after Nora's birthday also going to be twenty. Blue and her brothers are all so engaged and dedicated to their work and study that they hardly have any friends in the university, boyfriend and girlfriend is a far away milestone for them.

Getting up from her seat Nora opened the door, when her eyes fell on the tall guy with perfectly chiseled face and a pair of dark brown eyes. His hands were resting inside his trousers pockets and his medium length dark hairs were pushed back. Nora's heart flipped inside her chest when she laid her eyes over Jaden, who was standing in front of her with a sweet smile stretched on his handsome face.

"Nora!" She came out of her trance when he waved his hand in front of her and she moved to a side. Blue rushed to her brother, with a deafening scream of excitement. She thrown herself at him and with his quick reflexes he clutched her in his arms, her legs dangling in the air as she spoke, "brother, i missed you so much." Placing her down and stroking her head gently he smiled at her whole heartedly and replied, "i missed you too Lil." And side hugged her once again.

"If you're done with your work than I'm here to pick you up." Jaden asked Blue.

"Humm. We are done. Yes! Nora" she turned to her friend who's still admiring the niceness in front of her. "Uhh! Oh! Yes, yes we are done with our stuff." Nora replied, blinking at the sibling duo.

"Let's go then." Placing Blue's hand around his arm Jaden spoke to Nora "All right then."

"Bye Nora." Blue waved her hand at her before leaving with Jaden.

On their way back they found some guys unloading huge boxes in their neighborhood.

"Someone is moving in?" Blue looked at Jaden.

"Do you remember Mr. and Mrs. Gray?" Jaden asked

"Hmm. The ones who used to live here back then." Blue replied

"Yes. Their son and daughter are returning back from Europe." Jaden told her.

Dr. Silas Gray and her father were childhood buddies and neighbours, after their studies Silas went to be a researcher and her father took after his father and become the Mayor of the town. Dr. Silas married to his lover Eyelyn and had a girl child after the adoption of an orphan boy from the town. Dr. Silas and his family left Waylon a long time ago and went to Europe but there they had a terrible accident and the couple died leaving their children alone.
