New Life

"This sucks"

"LANGUAGE"

"... sorry"

[This only further proves my point!!]

It's been 2 years since the birth of Alex or Chizuke in the Narutoverse, although he himself only got to acknowledge that a few days ago, and so far he has been finding the experience less than pleasant but at the very least is 'better than being dead... probably?'.

The first week was very much a waiting game as far as Chizuke was concerned since believing that reincarnation was an actual concept and that HE, out of all people actually got to keep his memories was impossible and stupid. He instead rationalized his dilemma with the explanation that 'he must be in a coma or something IDK?' there were, after all, stories of how some coma patients had extremely vivid dreams during their own commas.

[Yet it doesn't feel right] thought Chizuke.

It felt too realistic and even in his baby body he felt 'too free', he overall was interested in livid dreams, since he thought that if you could control dreams then it would be an even better alternative than delving into anime and manga. But he only managed to be aware of some dreams.

If one were to compare to real life then it would feel like it was in a game, restricting the places you could be by placing invisible barriers were you could reasonably be with the excuse of these barriers existing being that they would save resources while developing, or in this case, brainpower... probably.

Anyways, he noticed the overall consistency of the dream and concluded that, although highly unlikely and impossible, he was reincarnated, he was a firm believer in 'seeing is believing' so he just sucked up all his questions and started working in trying to take as much advantage as possible from his predicament.

From what he could tell, it was pretty obvious that he was fucked, or at least he thought since he was comparing his situation with the quality of life in the 21st century, his rundown orphanage was not even a speck of what should be a 'place to raise children' so he naturally concluded that he was in some random country that he couldn't even name, he smart but he was not even going to pretend to know information that he simply didn't try to learn.

He quickly concluded that he was in some rural Japanese orphanage since he recognized some of the words that they used, he definitely has heard them in anime but he was utterly clueless as to how interpreted them, although he did find out his name through repetition, he was quite happy with Chizuke, it sounded feminine he just didn't have the knowledge to know if it really was.

And so he started to try to understand this language since it would help him in his medical career, oh he had no delusions as to try and simply put his 'prodigy' mantle and wear it proudly as to somehow get into better conditions, but for that, he needed to be able to communicate and thus, language.

[Only God knows how annoying that was!]

[Wait... since I'm in naruto would be Kami or Sage? eh... questions for later]

As one could imagine, Trying to understand a language was NOT easy at all, but he managed to get it from 'I think he said thanks' to 'I know 60% what you are saying but I have no idea how to answer' in only 6 months, to him this was impossible at first but after some thinking, he concluded 2 things.

1.- He NEEDED to know the language so he instinctually tried his hardest to learn it, it was something similar to how he learned English he didn't learn it because it was a subject in school, no he needed in order to understand what the heck was the pirated Nintendo games were saying.

2.- He also proposed that he technically was in a baby's body, so he naturally had all the disadvantages AND advantages, that meant that in exchange for having poor control over his body he had the brain plasticity necessary to absorb information like a dammed sponge, and he knew he would use it to its maximum advantage.

AS to how he actually got to even know that he was in the Narutoverse or at least a version of it, well he had his suspicion since the orphanage used words like 'Honoha, Hi no Kuni, Hokage, Chakra', at first he dismissed the word chakra and attributed that this orphanage had some sort of Hinduism, he was, after all, a seasoned medic and knew that they were some people who believed that doctors were evil.

But his patience got the better of him, he was baffled that these people were not only of that religion and belief but that they were Naruto fans as well, it was really improbable, but at this point, he was already beyond the point of 'common sense' since he was goddammed reincarnated so he simply asked one of the caretakers in the orphanage named Kiyoko.

"were a-are we?" He faked the stutter since it would be weird for a 2-year-old to have a perfect speech.

"The orphanage" She answered back, slightly surprised that the 'quiet one' actually asked something other than requesting books.

[You think you're clever, you idiot!!]

He had to wait a few days to ask again since he didn't want to break his facade of aloofness-

"What o-our country-y called?"

"Hi no Kuni" (Land of Fire)

[Well... I guess that confirms it then]

And so we returned to the present, Chizuke in his orphanage bedroom while trying to think of something to do as he was currently, utterly beaten, He understood just where he was, but he was lost still since he didn't have any lead on anything, like maybe the current year, how far is cannon, where he was or even if he was in Konoha at all, although he was positive of the last one since he did see a lot of children play 'ninja'.

[Guess I gotta become a ninja]
