Chapter 1: The Hopeless World

She quickly charged forward her enemies with a fully charged saber and swung it horizontally slicing three Cyber Pol at the same time and dashed again to move forward. With her army of humans in her back, their goal is to subjugate the terrorist inside the highest tower in the world. But as she and her team moved, a sudden explosion came in front of them, making them react and quickly leap backward. And they saw a man appeared in the cloud of dust, walking beneath the azure flames. The right of his face was human, but the other side was pure machine. He wore a brown cape with an unknown insignia and together with him was the Cyber Pol as well equipped with advanced weapons called "Oz". Oz weapons look like a bright orb, an advanced technology capable of unleashing the power of one's battle suit. At the start of the year 2205, whosoever possessed this device would dictate the destiny of the world.

"Silvester!", the woman shouted.

"Miss Diana, backup units already arrived waiting for you command!"

"Then... there's no reason to hold back... CHARGE---!"

Under the dark sky, a bloody war began with the woman's battle cry. Countless human soldiers and machines clashed against each other. The scene was terrifying but none of these moved her, she gripped her saber and raised it up to the sky.

"System command: Heaven Sanctuary"

As her Oz glowed, the saber sent a beam to the cloud and shined so brightly the everyone in the battlefield could see it. It is a symbol of hope for those who fight for peace and raise their will on the battlefield. And a rain of light beam began falling to enemy's frontline, seizing the enemy as they charged forward. But unaware that Silvester was able to infiltrate their frontlines, charging towards Diana with his blade. Diana flinched, hastily leaped away from him but Silvester continued the chase. Then Diana started to clash blades with him, swinging her blade as fast as she could.

"He's so fast... I can't hold him a little longer--- AAH!", she cried

Sylvester suddenly swung a hard blow; Diana was able to block it with her blade, but it knocked her back a few meters away.

"You amused me, my Lady. But let's end the game here..."

She saw his blade change its color from silver to black, same as his left eye. As she stared at that eye, it immediately snared at its hypnotic effect, falling on her knees, and paralyzing her. Lately she knew that Sylvester made his way on her, raising his blade to cut her head. The terror of death subdued her and all that could do was to close her eyes.

"Help me!", she plead, but she couldn't utter a word.

Then a sound of blade clashed together woke her up from numbness. And she heard a male voice talking:

"This is Raven, rescuing the princess already accomplished"

"Okay, please proceed to the next task", the line ended.

As she opened her eyes, she saw the Raven, in a black cape and black garments, blocking Sylvester's blade with one hand unharmed. Sylvester was humiliated.

"AND WHO ARE YOU----?!", Sylvester shouted. He pulled his blade and swung it again against the Raven. The Raven ducked the blade and pulled his gun at the same time, aiming towards Sylvester. Sylvester retreated.

"Do you think you can kill me with the old trash?", Sylvester mocked.

"Let's see...", Raven replied and immediately pulled the trigger. Sylvester immediately used his Oz to produce a force field in front of him to block the bullet. But as the bullet traveled through the barrier, it broke through the barrier. Silverster startled and immediately dodged his head.

"What kind of bullet is that?!", he murmured but after he finished talking, Raven was already on his back, swinging his knife towards his head and penetrating through his metal skin. It was so sudden that Sylvester couldn't even react, he fell on his knees and left a soul.

"Kevin...", Diana was out of words to say that she couldn't only call him by his name.

"Princess", Kevin said.

"Yes!", she replied

"After this... let's go home"

After hearing those words, she finally understands the hope inside the vigilant hero.

Year 2023, the night became darker and deadly, the evil mortals filled world as the World Government's power ceases due to corruption and the many evil organizations began to rise. Robbery, murder, sexual abuse, human trafficking, and other crimes spread all over the world and countless of dead bodies found in streets, rivers, and one's house found every hour. One of the most powerful organizations in the world called themselves "Black Veil". Black Veil was well-known for consuming the blood of people who opposed them, terrorizing all people in the world.

To stop their killing spree of evils, many vigilant groups in every country emerged to subdue the criminals and assassinate corrupted politicians. And there is a name they feared and called "Raven".

"Good job --- next, proceed to B4 and retrieve device", and the line cuts.

A black-haired man jumped to a pole and slid down to get to the basement. He wore a mask with a Baretta M9 in his hand, he walked smoothly as he came nearer to the device, the room was so silent that he could only hear his heartbeat and his breath. The basement's equipment was advanced, and the device is located to a platform northeast of the basement.

"This is strange...", he muttered.

Then the silence broke as the guns began shooting him. It's an ambush. He dashed towards a wall and stood there waiting for the gunfire to cease.

And another group of armed man came, pointing their rifles towards him and continue shooting. But none of these bothered him, he gripped his handgun hard and took a deep breath, his eyes became cold as winter, and then smoothly turned against his enemies as the silence came, pointing his gun towards them. He immediately released four shots and precisely hit four men in their vital parts: head, heart, and neck. And the gun started firing again, and he ran toward the wall on the other side while leaping over the tables and equipment, fleeting from the bullets.

He aimed his gun again and shot three bullets, killing three men as well. The armed men were so furious to see their comrades got killed by just one man.

"You bastard!!!", he cried, and took his machine and began firing the wall where the masked man was hiding. His comrades also began shooting the same spot at the same time, leaving a thick smoke. As the smoke slowly faded, they saw the wall was gone, turning into pieces.

The leader of the armed group started laughing so loud.

"HAHA, that's what you get from opposing us. We can't win against Farah"

Farah is the leader of the terrorist group, Sonata. They were known to be responsible for multiple bomb attacks, murders, rapes, and robberies. Their recent crime was robbing an unknown device from the World Science Institute, killing the scientist and engineer who made the said device.

The last three members of Sonata began scouting the spot, through the smoke, they were startled to see that they had not found the body. Then suddenly, a man grabbed the head of one of them and cut it off with a knife. They were startled, it was so sudden that the other two couldn't even react on time. Quickly, the man pulled out his handgun as the second member of Sonata aimed his rifle and immediately stabbed his abdomen and triggered his gun thrice. The third man was able to pull the trigger and shoot the masked man together with his dying comrades.

"DIEEE!!!", he cried out. The black-haired man quickly evaded and charged forward; the third armed man didn't expect him dashed towards him, and in the distances of four meter, the black-haired man reached him and stabbed him in his eyes.

Farah, who had witnessed what happened in a few seconds, was frozen and unable to pull the trigger. When got snapped, he fired multiple shots with machine gun and chased the black-haired man until he runs out of bullet. He immediately sprinted towards his fallen comrade and took its rifle, but as he turned around and took aim again, he couldn't find the black-haired man again. The basement went back to a cold and quiet room, only a few lights and the majority is darkness.

He laughed.

"Escape? Whahaha! ---- How dare y..."

A sudden charge above him came to pin him down, it was the black-haired man. The black-haired man quickly pulled his handgun from its holster and aimed it towards Farah. Farah tried to reach his rifle, but the black-haired man immediately shot his hand.

"AAAAGHH! SHIT!", he cried.

Farah was able to have a full view of the man.

"You can't kill me!!! I'm a member of Black Veil---", he cried.

In spite Farah words, the black-haired man didn't react and still aiming his gun towards Farah's head.

"Do you think I care?", the black-haired said. Cold-blooded, he pulled the trigger and shot him in the head.

A sudden call came.

"Do you accomplish your quest?", said by the woman from the other line.

"The terrorist subjugated..."

And he opened a room and he saw the hostages inside.

"... and the hostages were found, some of them are shot."

"How about the device?"

"Device retrieved..."

"Good! Leave the area before the police came and return to the hideout after 24 hours. See you ---- Raven"

The call ended.

With the device in his hands, he rushed out of the building. And as he expected, the police really came, and he made it out of building without being discovered as security device has already damaged by the terrorist.

Mixing with the civilian and disguised as young man passed by.

The city was governed by the mayor named Valencio Reyes who once linked drug trafficking but mysteriously gone for days that some speculate, he had escaped his crime cases. In the present, the city runs with no ruler but for the Raven, with or without a leader, there's still no difference at all.
