Chapter 31 : Amanda and a Brawl

Eleanore's POV

'I haven't heard anything from Amanda yet,' I told Sabrina over the video call as I signed to her. Meanwhile, I got out of the cab and paid the man and then walked up the steps to my home.

"I managed to get a hold of her earlier in the week," Sabrina's voice filtered out through my earphones. "And she said that she's alright but that she just had some personal things to deal with."

I raised my brow at that. Personal stuff? When did the three of us have things too personal that we couldn't tell each other about?

'What's so personal that she had to literally ghost us for weeks?' I asked Sabrina and the woman sighed on the other end of the phone as I opened my door and went inside.

"I don't know Eleanore. Sometimes some people just need a break from people," Sabrina said and I could hear rustling on her side as she began to prepare her dinner.
