Chapter 108: Savior Viktor

Eleonore’s POV

It was a strange thing to watch someone kill your body—a perfect replica of what you looked like down to every freckle and mole you had on your face. It was stranger even, still, to watch as they doused it in alcohol and set your body alight.

I had watched in silence as Viktor dug a hole in the garden and poured alcohol into the grave he had made, and then with his eyes shut as he muttered something under his breath, threw the lighter in the grave.

The heat of the flames was felt as soon as the fire took to the alcohol, contrasting the dark night that had slowly engulfed us.

I wondered for a moment where Amanda was, or whether or not she had managed to find the twins, but if I was being honest with myself, I was glad that they weren’t here. The fact that they had been so close to her at one point, that they had marked her, I found hard to still come to terms with.
