Chapter 133: The Dark Truth

Eleonore’s POV

Hayden was faster than Rhett, his strong legs carrying him through the fray of fighting and snapping jaws, but he was waylaid from reaching me as a mage jumped inside of his path. I watched as he stumbled back for a moment, expertly dodging one of the attacks of the mages. A whip of vines had shot through brilliant green light, a spell that had once meant to provide nature and care, now used as a weapon.

Hayden caught the thick vines in his jaw and pulled roughly, dragging the mage who the spell was attached to with it. I watched as he spun around hard and fast enough to throw the mage onto the other side of the cavern where his body slammed against one of the hard rock walls.
