I sat on one of the sofas in the twin’s office. Both of them sat on either side of me while Claudius sat on the couch in front of us. He was staring at the three of us as though he were thinking deeply about something, and for some reason I felt like a kid being scolded by their parent—at least, I assumed that would feel like this.


The twins sat much like I did, too. Their backs straight as they stared everywhere except Claudius’ searching face—what is it that they were thinking about? I looked from Rhett to Hayden, and then to Claudius who seemed bemused now as he too stared at the twins on either side of me.


“Well,” Claudius said as he leaned back. “We have to speak about it at some point.”


Speak about what? I gave him a strange look.
