I was the first one to wake up the following morning. Rhett and Eleonore were still asleep by the time I had come out of the shower and gotten dressed for the journey back home. I moved from the bedroom to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea while I waited for them. 


I didn’t have to wait long, however, because a few minutes after I had managed to leave the house to the front porch I heard the door opening and closing behind me. When I turned around I saw Rhett coming out of the house.


“Is Eleonore awake?” I asked him as I sipped on the warm beverage I had made, pulling it out of his reach when he reached forward to grab it from my hands. 


“She’s in the shower—give me some,” he demanded, reaching out again. 


“No, go and get your own.” I pushed his hands away.
