I rushed outside of the bedroom as soon as I could, the door slamming behind me, barely paying attention to the noises that leaked out from the inside. 


“Eleonore?” James’ voice called out to me, and I let out a startled yelp as he appeared from behind me, his eyes locked onto the door as he placed himself between it and myself. “What is it? What’s happened?” 


No! I thought as I pulled him away from the door, dragging him back so that he couldn’t get any closer to it. The further forward to it he stepped the louder the growling became, the louder the clawing and scratching turned. If he went in there now there was no telling what would happen. James was fast, but that wouldn’t matter if the twins managed to get even a claw into him.
