FIRA'S POV
My fist was clenched tightly as the liquid was condensing in the side of my eyes. When it came to my mother, my heart was breaking into pieces because my mind kept reminding me how weak I was by repeating the scene in front of me. The moment I did not save her from the hunters.
"Are you insane! They are Betas!" Saza left a little distance between our bodies and then her palm landed on my cheek. The sound of the slap echoed in the kitchen.
I just looked at her with no emotion and then I turned my back, getting the broken pieces of plates on the floor.
"This time I have reason to punish you!" Saza giggled as she grabbed my clothes on my back and stood me up. "Fifty slashes! You'll know your lesson!"
All the time, I was shaking in dread as I heard the slashes session, but now, I could not feel any. What I did to those Rainbows was for my mother, for stomping on her life by mentioning her death. I would always do the same thing.
