Chapter Eighteen

　　“It’s okay Ella, you know I don’t like putting too much makeup on.” Annie groaned but Ella did not pay attention to her. Instead, she concentrated on the magic she was doing on Annie’s face.

　　Ella, Claire and Jayden were getting Annie ready. She agreed to be Eric’s date at a function tonight.

　　“You don’t have any choice, Ann. I want you to be the most beautiful woman in that event tonight. And if possible, I want to see your face all over the newspapers and magazines tomorrow morning.” She grinned.

　　Annie was prepared for that. She knew accompanying Eric to the charity event would have its consequences. But he had begged her that he wanted her to go with him. She agreed too because she wouldn’t like the idea of him taking another woman as his date.
