"Do you think Dacia will really stay with me?" I asked.

"If he doesn't, will you be sad?" She didn't answer and instead, asked a question.

"Of course!" I replied without hesitation.

"Don't entrust your happiness to others or ask childish questions."

Was she educating me? This was not the answer I wanted to hear.

I didn't say anything. I hoped she would look back at me. That way, she would realize I was upset.

But she didn't turn back. She even seemed to sigh. Was she even more unhappy than me?

"I've had similar experiences with you in the past. I fell in love with someone who was different from me and I wanted to be with him forever, just like you. Unfortunately, we separated in the end," she said.

"You? Aren't you me? Why don't I remember this?" I asked curiously.

Technically, Dacia was the first heterosexual I had ever fallen in love with.
