To Fall

Before their eyes of them, all was a fight between a no-name and a hero.

Their swords clashed. Their scream ensued on the wide battlefield. The others only watched but a flurry of two blurred figures light sparks with their blades.

Grantt Maximilian stood along with the soldiers, watching closely as his retainer fight the Hero alone.

Altora: [Why aren't we helping him?! No one can defeat heroes! Marcus can't defeat him alone.]

Her worry struck her, seeing as how the situation in the battle came, she concluded such a thing.

However, Grantt Maximilian only looked without removing his eyes.

He saw Marcus's heavy strikes as it fell against the Hero's sword, even if was deflected, it had a message.

[Look at me. I'm proving myself.]

It was how he talked through the sword.

Grantt: [I trust him.]

A step forward, an upward slash. It was the attack that threw the hero back, yet unscathed even as the blade Marcus had touched his face.
