Royal Survival

"Good day, Lord Edward! Good day, Your highness!" The knights saluted as soon as they saw us approaching.


"How are the patrols and the citizens?" Duke Edward asked.


"Some of the hunters and gatherers have gone to the forest, to start their gathering and hunt, there are also knights with them so that they would strictly come back in the curfew."


"Hmm... how come there are still some people outside. I clearly told last night, that starting today no one is allowed to go outside the walls!"


The knights seemed startled and confused. They all knelt down in fear. "We apologize, Milord. We haven't heard any orders last night."


This caused a dark expression on the duke's face.


"Hah." The duke let out a sigh. "Then make haste, and send someone to those who went to the forest, to return. I also saw some farmers outside, telling them to harvest whatever they can harvest and return immediately. Once everyone returned, we will close the city gates starting today."
