Making my way downtown walkin slow, coming across some cool things
While walking at a snail's pace toward where I heard the sound and checking out every room in the hallways I walked past to waste a bit more time I had finally found someone who wasn't dead.
Yet anyway.
"h-h-help me." One of the guards reached out to me with a blood-soaked hand while he was slumped against the wall.
The lower half of his body is gone.
Not crushed or destroyed.
It's literally nowhere to be found.
"S-save m-me." He begged tears streaming down his face as he coughed up a large bit of blood on the floor.
I won't lie. I kinda feel bad for the guy.
I know he was a part of this horrible organization that did shitty things for shallow reasons like getting a promotion or for some extra cash, but I know more than anyone the fear of dying.
I mean I died myself and it wasn't a quick one.
He's probably scared, cold, and terrified at the prospect of dying alone without anyone knowing that he did. He wants someone to hold him, to comfort him, to tell him that everything will be alright. That he will be alright.
I know that-
"H-help me y-you d-damn s-slave." He once again coughs out but this time instead of tears he glares at me slightly.
And just like that, you can go fuck yourself.
*Sigh*
I should have figured he was like this.
Everyone in this verse is.
In the show literally, everyone was a huge piece of shit, even that innocent-looking noble girl in episode one was a sadistic fuck who kidnapped random peasants off the streets to torture them just because she could. Almost every noble was a dickhead and had torture kinks, the guards, and policemen were corrupt enough to turn a blind eye to obvious crimes and criminals if paid enough money, the king was a brainwashed mentally unstable child, the prime minister was the same height horizontally as he was vertically, the general of the kingdom was as hot as she was insane.
All the common people got screwed over because the revolutionary army actually did more bad than good by completely annihilating the infrastructure of the kingdom without replacing it, killing nobles, and leaving the towns they "Freed" to fend for themselves only for the kingdom to occupy the town, and outright destroying a quarter of the capital leaving thousands homeless, jobless, and dead.
The entire world was completely screwed.
Damn.
Now I feel stupid for even thinking he was a half-decent human being.
Well, it's not my issue.
Fuck him, and everyone else.
I turn on my heel and walk away.
"G-get b-back here! y-you y-you h-have t-to h-help me!" He shouts at me but I continue to walk away and as I get to the end of the hallway I look back and smirk at him before flipping him the bird and walking away.
I don't actually know if they know what that means.
But by the terrified expression on his face, I think he got the message.

While walking into another room I open up my inventory and a huge blue rectangular box appears in my vision, with 97 separate slots for items. Two of the slots were already taken up, one by the gun that I cannot use.
Still a bit bitter about that but I guess it makes sense that such an OP weapon would have such strict requirements. Though the system didn't have to be such a huge bitch and could've told me that I couldn't use it when I first picked it up.
It's whatever.
I'm over it...Almost anyway.
I kneel down and pick up a sealed vial filled with a mysterious green liquid. I bring it close to my face and slosh it around for a bit before placing it in my inventory.
I don't have the skill [Observe] because it's locked when on expert mode but I can still inspect items but placing them in my inventory and double-tapping while inside to get detailed information about the item in there.
A small workaround that makes things easier.

That's an insane power booster, and although temporary it could tip the scales in my favor if I'm ever in a pickle.
So it's kinda like steroids. But healthier.
Closing out my inventory I look around the room and see a huge collection of vials with more liquids in them. Some are green, some are blue, some are red, some are purple though the color doesn't matter much as they are all going into my inventory.
"Come to papa!" I grin to myself as I start collecting.

After filling my inventory with all manner of potions, brews, and serums, I wandered into another room and this time it was actually clean.
No blood.
No wolverine claw marks.
No severed body parts.
No bloody tools, nor any guards.
Nothing really but a huge empty room with white marble walls.
The perfect hiding spot...
If it wasn't for the giant cage in the middle of the room where I could see a black-haired boy with chains around his neck, arms, and legs keeping him down Tai Lung style. There was no turtle shell filled with needles on his back to keep him paralyzed but the dead look in his eye was probably enough to keep him docile.
He was wearing tattered beige rags that showed various scars, cuts, and bruises all over his body both new and old. Dried blood was caked on his lip and below his nose, his hair was surprisingly clean but blood was dripping from his scalp, and finally, there was a thick aura around him.
"Are you here to kill me?" He questions with a cold and monotone voice with a slight hint of anticipation.
My heart rate sped up, a drop of sweat ran down my forehead and I unconsciously activate my dark saber as he slowly lifts his head to look at me with his dim grey eyes.
He just asked me a question and I'm already sweating?
Yeah, this kid is fucking dangerous.
Although I have little to no experience doing battle, even though my instincts are immature and unrefined, even though I am a complete novice when fighting even I can tell that this boy is extremely dangerous just by looking at him.
He isn't even doing anything, but I know for a fact that if we were to do battle I wouldn't even have time to blink before my head would be rolling. He just gives off this aura of power that forces you to acknowledge it whether you want to or not.
Basically, he is your standard OP edgy anime protagonist.
Or that one emotionless villain/anti-hero type who doesn't fuck around and actually gets shit done.
By now he is just staring at me waiting on my answer if I was going to kill him or not. I can't blame him, he seems to want to embrace death and I do have a lightsaber powered up that could cut him down. But to be honest I doubt that I could even if I tried, although weakened considerably he could probably go toe to toe with Esdeath or transformed Akame.
Though that's just speculation.
I don't exactly know the power levels here, but his is obviously OVER 9000!
Okay, that was bad.
I take a deep breath and slowly calm down.
If I was a normal person like some of the guards that are now all dead I would be quaking in my boots terrified out of my fucking mind. Thankfully, the system forcefully keeps me in a perpetual state of calmness so that I may make decent decisions during stressful situations.
Apparently, that's another function of the system that it didn't elect to tell me about.
Anyway.
Back to the cooler sausgae.
"Do you want me to kill you?"
Dumb question I know.
But I have to make sure he won't try and murder me if I do try and kill him. Besides, I don't really want to kill a kid if I can avoid it, especially one that did nothing wrong.
He doesn't respond and just nods at me.
Welp looks like I'm killing children now.
Fuck man.
With a sigh, I walk up toward the cage and raise my lightsaber up high. I look down at the kid who hasn't had a single change in expression during this entire exchange and I then bring my blade down while yelling "Slash"
