A price

A little while after they left, the girls arrived back at the mansion.

"Seraphina, there is a stable for our horses right here too," Paisley said and they took the horses to the stable then rushed off to their room for the sun was already going down and if they waste time they will both be late for the party.

"Damn it, I really don't feel like going to any part I am already having a headache," Seraphina said to herself as she gathered her things to get dressed with on her bed.

After doing so the girl checked the time on her watch and saw it was after 6 pm so she immediately went to freshen up.

When Seraphina finished taking her bath, she dried herself and began getting dressed as time went by.

Almost more than an hour passed and she finally finished getting dressed then she left her room and saw almost everyone was gone, fortunately, Jack along with Paisley and their friends were outside waiting.

'Woah" Jack said as he looked at the girl and she smiled as she saw they were standing by a carriage.

'You look beautiful" Jack said.

'Thank you, you guys look great too" she replied and Paisley smiled as they got into the carriage and left for the castle.

Upon arriving at the castle, they got out of the carriage and she sighed as they walked into the castle and went straight to the main hall where the party was being held and as they came to the stairs, while walking down everyone stared at the girl including the prince but yet he didn't care for he had already made up his mind that he hated her.

The girl wore a beautiful purple A-line, long-sleeved V neck dress that fitted her body perfectly and had small purple and black roses at the beginning of the sleeve and between the cleavage area of the dress along the waist, she also wore a silver necklace along with a bracelet, high heel shoes, and earrings, her hair was held up and half down with curls and despite being simple it made her shine even more.

'Half of the young men's eyes are on you" Paisley said and Seraphina sighed.

'You too" Seraphina replied as she looked at the girl in her long A-line royal blue evening gown.

"You are uncomfortable I can see that, loosen up a bit," Paisley said and Seraphina sighed then tried to relax.

'Well, well look at you" Scarlet said as she came with her minions to the girls.

'Get lost Scarlet" Paisley said and the girl scoffed.

'You better watch how you speak to me, why are you even here? you don't belong here new girl" Scarlet said and Seraphina looked at her sternly.

"Leave us be please, we don't want to cause any problem for the king here," Seraphina said and Scarlet scoffed.

'Damn you girls are just so naive" Scarlet said.

"I am going to have you pay for embarrassing me Seraphina" Scarlet said then walked away in anger and they sighed.

'I really feel like hitting her" Paisley said and Seraphina smiled.

'Don't worry about her, I will handle her Paisley, you enjoy the party this is not for me" Seraphina replied and Paisley smiled.

"Come have some champagne with me," Paisley said as they went to the table with all of the food and beverages and anything you could possibly think of to eat.

"Here," Paisley said as she poured the girl a glass of champagne and she collected it then began drinking it.

"You," the prince said as he came to them and Seraphina coughed then turned away from him and he was about to grab her but she moved away and looked at him.

'Your highness" she said and Paisley smiled nervously and they placed their glasses on the table and bowed to him.

'No need to bow, I need to talk to this girl, leave us be Paisley" he said.

'As you wish your majesty" she replied then left and Seraphina sighed and downed her head.

'That horse you took is mine" he said and she folded her cuffs.

"I know..." she replied.

'Oh you know yet you took it even though it was not yours to claim?" he asked then folded his cuffs.

"Look up," he said and she looked at him then he smiled wickedly.

"I have to admit, you do look pretty tonight," he said and she looked at him sternly.

'The horse.. i want to keep it" she replied.

'Oh, well for the first time ever since I got home he allowed someone to ride him, you can have him but.. at a prince" he said and she sighed.

"How much?" she asked.

'Not money, I won't want that I have enough of that, though when the time is right I will tell you what I want and then you cannot refuse" he responded and she swallowed.

'What does he want?" she asked herself.

'You disgust me" she thought.

"Do you want to say something?" he asked.

'Not to you, no" she responded then walked away and he smiled wickedly as the king finally came and everyone bowed to him then the music started playing.

"Hey," Paisley said.

'Hi," Seraphina replied.

"What did he want?" she asked.

"He wanted to talk about the horse, unfortunately, I get to keep it but at a price and he didn't tell me what the price will be, though I am glad I get to keep prince" she responded and Paisley sighed.

'He is scary, be aware of him, yes he is attractive but scary" Paisley said and Seraphina smiled.

"I don't think he is my problem, well not for now at least" she replied.

"Oh we will see about that, remember you are his student, don't get him mad, you won't want it to be taken out on you later," Paisley said and Seraphina folded her cuffs then sighed as Jack came to them and she smiled.
