A praise and an insult

"You look like a girl who doesn't care, you have strong senses and really good skills, it's not easy to get a compliment from me so cherish it, we will take a break now," he said as he sat down on a chair and she sat on the other then grabbed her bag, took out her bottle of water and drank a little.

"Tell me what's your main focus in the tournament?" he asked.

'I was sort of forced to join it, maybe the person is just kindly forgetting or whatever.., I don't have any" she responded and he left staring at her.

"Are you crazy? damn.. winning matches will make others not just adore you, will give better recommendations here for a lot of other things" he said and she sighed.

'I don't care about that" she replied and he scoffed.

'Everyone like you cares" he said and she looked at him sternly

"Sorry everyone like me?" she asked.

'Yeah," he responded.

'What type of people exactly your highness?" she asked.

'The type that pretends" he responded and she smiled then sighed and got up.

"Do we have more training? is that all for today?" she asked.

'That's all, I would rather train alone but for some season my father dumped a stubborn.. damn..." he responded and she scoffed the grabbed her things.

"You know you can simply ask your father to give me to someone else.. your highness thank you for your time," she said then walked away and he sighed.

"Damn it, father gave me a simple task, well with her as a student it's not simple," he said as he left the arena while the girl was heading back to the mansion.

"Seraphina, welcome back, it's after lunch, did you eat anything?" Paisley asked.

"No I didn't she responded with a sigh as she sat down on the couch and Paisly passed her a glass then opened a bottle of wine and poured it in the glass and sat beside the girl.

'What happened?" Paisley asked.

'I have to put up with that brat for a prince" she responded and Paisley patted her on the shoulder.

"Relax, he is not that bad when you get to know him, well sorry in your case it's different," she said and Seraphina drank the wine then got up.

'I am going to change, I am not taking magic classes, so I just training and a few art session for me" she said.

'Yeah the normal classes in the academy will be gone until this competition finishes,we have to study though" Paisley replied.

'Yeah I know, see you in a bit" Seraphina said then left to her room.

Upon arriving in her room, the girl locked the door, placed her bag on the couch then took her clothes off and looked at herself in the mirror as a mark appeared on her chest just above her breast and she sighed as she looked at the glowing red flower on her chest.

'What's it this time?" she asked as her eyes glowed red and her body started aching then she sighed and went to take a bath.

When the girl finished taking her bath her body stopped glowing along with her eyes and the mark disappeared.

"Ah, that's better, I have to be careful of how angry I get at that bloody guy," she said to herself as she wrapped herself in the towel then got changed.

A little while after she finished someone came knocking at her door and she opened it only to see it was Jack.

'Hey," he said.

'Hello" she replied as he came into her room and she stretched off.

'How can I help you?" she asked.

'You joining us for food?" he asked.

'Sure I am hungry" she responded.

Come on then" he said and at the same time the prince walked into her room and her eyes widened when she looked at him and Jack swallowed.

"Your highness," both of them said as they bowed and he sighed.

'I need to talk to her" he said and Jack smiled then left and she peeked at him as he laughed while walking out.

'He is going to get himself in trouble one of these days" she thought as the prince stared at her.

'Uh.. your highness" she called out.

"Why are you such a pain?" he asked and she coughed then sat back down and sighed.

'You came all the way here to ask me that, since you placed so much effort, I am just like that and I cannot help it" she responded as he sat down on the couch.

'Don't mock me, girl..." he said in a cold tone and she downed her head.

'You did such a thing so what did you expect your highness?" she asked and he sighed.

"Look my father made you my responsibly and I am not going to back off, so can we just get your training river and then be strangers after?" he asked and she folded her cuffs.

'I will not get anywhere with a peace talk if this keeps up" she thought then looked at him and sighed.

'I can do that, there is no problem with that for me" she responded and he sighed in relief.

'Good that makes two of us, people are staring at like you will some of them at least, don't ruin it for yourself" he said.

"Please... don't...." she replied and he looked at her sternly as she stood up.

"Don't what?" he asked.

'Tell me certain things, now is that all your highness?" she asked as he walked up to her when he saw she was not looking at him.

'Look at me" he said as he was about to grab her face and she grabbed onto his hand and he left staring at her and she at him.

"Please do not touch me and if that's all then you can leave," she said and he smiled wickedly as he leaned in towards her and she fell on the bed and her eyes widened.
