Kinley
Monday morning came too fast. Kinley was still reeling from her weekend with Seth. The smell of his skin was still fresh in her nose as if he was standing directly in front of her. She unlocked the front door to the bookstore. She gave the rest of the crew the day off and decided to just run it herself. She had nothing else going on and maybe it would distract her from her thoughts and desires for Seth. It was a long shot, but she was hopeful.
The smell of books eventually took over the lingering smell of Seth. Nothing compared to the smell of an old book. The history it held and the places it had been were buried in the pages and the words. She picked up "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. It was one of her favorites and one she had read several times throughout various stages of her life. She stuck her nose in the pages and took a deep breath.
"Mmmm, you smell amazing," she said as she closed it.
"Thanks."
