Kinley
Seth drives Kinley to her apartment. She would give anything for him to come up, but she wasn't getting that vibe from him. Clearly, he wasn't ready. Or maybe he didn't like her as much as she liked him.
That thought upset her, so she pushed it aside. There was no way he wasn't into her like she was him. No way.
He walked her to the entrance. The night air had a touch of sultriness to it. Summer was peeking around the corner and Kinley couldn't wait. She adored summer. It brought so much life to the city. Even in the humidity, the city thrived. She couldn’t wait. And maybe this summer, a new love would accompany the new season.
"I had a great time," Kinley said. She nervously twisted her hair around her forefinger.
"So, did I. I am glad I asked you out tonight. Thank you for accompanying me."
"I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night."
"I can," he said.
