Chapter 42: Closing up Shop

Kinley

Kinley filled a few boxes with kitchen items. Some were pots and pans that she never used. She also packed the ceramic cat cookie jar that her mother gave her that had been passed down from her great grandmother. She wrapped it with care so that it would make the trip in one piece.

She then packed her recipe books. They were full of meals she had yet to make but always wanted to. Maybe once her family grew, she would get the chance.

She glanced over to the counter where they 'For Sale' sign laid. Natalie tried to convince her to go through a realtor for the sale, but it wasn't how she wanted to sell it. Everything happening was out of her control. She needed to be in charge of at least one thing in her life.

She wanted to sale to feel more personal. By selling it herself, she figured maybe she could jump start another's dreams and maybe relive the experience that once brought her so much excitement and joy.
